Who We Are

Where EveryONE Belongs.

ZOOZ Fitness is an inclusive gym built for people with developmental and physical disabilities, where every athlete trains, grows, and belongs.

Why ZOOZ

Closing the Gap

For many individuals with disabilities, finding the right gym isn’t just about fitness. It’s about finding a place where they feel welcome, understood, and supported. Too often, traditional fitness spaces aren’t designed with their needs in mind. At ZOOZ, we’ve spent more than a decade building an environment where every athlete can develop strength, confidence, independence, and community.

The Need

The Gaps in Fitness Access Are Real.

  • Inaccessible Spaces

Equipment, layouts, and locker rooms that a person with a disability cannot actually use.

  • Few Adaptive Coaches

Very few trainers are certified to coach intellectual, developmental, and physical disabilities.

  • Financial Barriers

Adaptive training costs more, and families rarely know which funding covers it.

  • Knowledge Barriers

No clear guidance on where to start, what is safe, or how to progress.

  • Not Welcoming

Mirrors, noise, and stares make a gym feel like a place built for someone else.

  • Low Participation

Without the right connection, movement gets left off the weekly calendar.

Nearly 1 in 2

adults with disabilities get no aerobic activity at all. ZOOZ exists to change that.

Meet Our Founder

Jake Weiner

Founder of ZOOZ Fitness

  • Certified in inclusive fitness through the ACSM and NCHPAD.

  • Over a decade building adaptive training around real athletes.

  • CPR and AED certified, and a Judo black belt instructor.

Jake has spent over a decade building training programs for athletes the fitness industry has largely overlooked. ZOOZ grew out of a simple belief: that being active should be within reach for everyone, regardless of ability. What started as a personal mission became a space where athletes of all backgrounds can train, grow, and feel at home. Today, that same belief is the foundation for everything at ZOOZ, from the way coaches work one on one with each athlete to the way ZOOZ plans for its expansion.
